Deadbeat Dads

I want to track down my ex-husband deadbead dad, who disappeared and went into hiding. How do you go about determining which court addresses these cases?

Since every individual State deals with deadbeat dad cases differently, as laws are different in every state. It's recommended you become educated about the court system, as it is very complex. Start by visiting the P.A.C.E.R. website - http://pacer.psc.uscourts.gov. Although registration is free, they do charge a fee of 60 cents a minute for access, so it would be a good idea to be well prepared beforehand, and make sure you have done your previous searching homework. Have an of idea of which possible states you are likely to need to search, etc.. This costs you a bit of money but it's actually a bargain considering that hiring a private investigator will likely cost $ hundreds. Just 1 hour may be all the time you need to find all the court evidence you need, for far less than what a private investigator would charge. PI's, like attorneys don't come cheap.

What you're looking for here is the likely possibility that your ex-husband may also be delinquent in other areas of financial matters, as is often the case. A few good examples to consider is the U S. Bankruptcy court, bank repossessions, Gambling debts, Judgments for non-payment of other financial responsibilities.
